This policy explains how umami · The Fire Pâtisserie ("umami", "we", "us") handles your information when you visit umamifire.com, contact us, or join our waitlist. We keep this short and we keep it honest.
Who we are
umami · The Fire Pâtisserie is a fire-grilled burger counter at #7, Inner Market, Sector 8, Chandigarh 160009, India. For any privacy question, write to founder@umamifire.com.
What we collect
- Details you give us. When you join the waitlist or send us a message, you may share your name, phone number and email address. Our waitlist opens your message in WhatsApp, so the details you enter are sent to us through WhatsApp.
- Things you send directly. Anything you include when you phone, email, or message us on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook.
- Basic technical logs. Like most websites, our host records standard information such as your approximate location, browser type and the pages you view, to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To let you know when we open and to respond to your enquiry.
- To share occasional offers and news, if you have asked us to.
- To take and fulfil your order at the counter or for delivery.
- To keep the website working, safe and free of abuse.
We do not sell your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run, and only as needed:
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms). Carries waitlist and enquiry messages. Their use of data is covered by Meta's own privacy policy.
- Our website host. Stores and serves the site.
- Delivery partners. If you order through Zomato or Swiggy, your order is handled under their own privacy policies.
- The law. If we are legally required to disclose information, we will.
Cookies and embedded content
Our own site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Pages that embed Google Maps or load Google Fonts may set their own cookies when that content loads. You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings. If we add website analytics in future, we will update this policy first.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only as long as we need them, to reply to you, to tell you about our opening, and to send any offers you asked for. Ask us to delete them and we will.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Just email founder@umamifire.com and we will act on it.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
